Our God is greater than any other!

Our God is so big!
I just want to thank all of you who are praying, donating, or considering it. Our God is so big and loving that in a week I've received over $700.
This is so encouraging and just reaffirming where the plans the Lord has for my life.
From my whole heart, thank you!

Why that title?

Our world encourages us to strive for a ridiculous amount of income because what we have just won't do.  Have you ever noticed how many times it is said by yourself or others, "I would be happier if I just had this amount" but once you got what you were striving for...you were just as unhappy and wanted even more.  Kids are being bullied at younger ages than ever before because (in my opinion) parents are looking at parenting as a chore… instead of what is best for their child whom they love.  Selfishness is the underlying root of evil.  And where do I begin about the warped self-image for women (and men!).

I used to have the title, "Life is a mess" because it really is just that. However I have decided to change it to "Heart Changing" because as I am aware that life is a mess, I am just as convinced that with the Lord at my right hand, my heart will be changed into loving life on earth and sharing Him with all the nations.

I’ve heard the truth of how we should really spend our money, "Do not save riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, save riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal. For your heart will always be where your riches are." (Mat 6:19-21)

And the truth of how we should view ourselves, "[Our] beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight "(1 Peter 3:3-4)

And how we should act towards one another, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32) “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way... Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked.” (Psalm 37:7, 16)

With any opportunity given to me I try to make my decisions and inner thoughts, those of which glorifying to God because I know He has my best interest at heart and those of His other children who I come in contact with every day.

Purpose of this blog

Hey everyone! I am so excited to share with you my upcoming outreach!
As some of you may know I have been praying and considering doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) through YWAM (Youths With A Mission).  YWAM’s desire and my desire is to make God known.  The specific DTS that I would be apart of is the Arts DTS in Melbourne, Australia.  It would be a six-month internship beginning after graduation next year.  The six months would be divided into two separate parts, lecture phase and outreach phase.  The lecture phase would teach me more of God’s Word in unique and hands on ways such as through music classes.  The outreach would either take place in Tasmania (the small island off of Australia) or in Thailand.  The unknown plans that the Lord has for my life is extremely exciting, but yet challenging as I trust Him more each passing day. I strongly feel the Lord leading me to this mission, but I know that I can not do this alone.
As brothers and sisters in Christ we make up the body together.  My question for you is, would you please help me take God’s calling and put it into action?  I know it is still relatively early considering I wouldn’t depart until June, but I think we can agree that time flies.  If you could please keep me in your prayers and consider donating to help fund this trip, I would be forever grateful.  I would hate not being able to go because of paper. That being said, if this is the Lord’s will then it’s already happening.  Even if you can’t donate money, you’re prayers are even more powerful and appreciated!

Assuming this is God's plan and I do go, this blog is where I will right any updates and everything that happens during my time there so bookmark this page or feel free to put your email in on the right side -----> and it will give you updates through that!

P.S. The link for online donations should be up very soon!

Love, Kristen Doull
